Synopsis: In January 2020, WildBrain announced that their was hiring for a new Johnny Test project separate from a planned series of new Johnny Test web shorts (the first of which was released on May 2, 2020, but later made private). On May 6, 2020, WildBrain confirmed the series had been picked up by for two more seasons and a 66-minute set for release in 2021, with Fellows returning as showrunner and executive producerIn June 2021, it was announced that most of the main cast would reprise their respective roles.
A reboot of the features an 11-year-old boy who will do anything in the name of science. . Parents need to know that this reboot offers the same high-energy, science-based adventures known for. There’s also lots of fantasy violence, and on occasion kids lie to their parents. There are some mild exclamations (“darn”) and some bathroom humor, too. But it also features young, smart characters who love science and are always curious.Fun and imaginative, this reboot of the iconic series, which ran from 2005-2014, stays true to the original. The animation is smoother and some of the familiar sound effects are gone, but thanks to voice actors like and reprising their roles as Johnny and Dukey, fans of the original will still find it familiar. Some of Johnny’s former pals-slash-rivals still make appearances, too. But young viewers new to the who like these sorts of stories will find the updated entertaining.
