Storyline

Siblings Emmy and Max discover a magical place called Dragon Land where they meet dragons Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie, and the wise and sagelike Quetzal. The kids and dragons face challenges together. Each episode features Dragon Tunes, perfect for kids at home to sing along. Two children find a dragonscale, and have fun socializing with dragons.

The series focused on the exploits of two siblings, Emmy and Max, in possession of an enchanted dragon scale capable of transporting them to a whimsical fantasy land inhabited by colorful anthropomorphic dragons upon their recitation of a rhyme. Befriended by four friendly talking dragons with distinctive personalities, Ord, Cassie, Zak, and Wheezie, they frequently travel to Dragon Land and help their friends in fulfilling particular quests, assisting them in their daily problems, and learning important morals through their experiences with the educational whimsy of Dragon Land.

Another reviewer seems to dislike or not understand children’s television. There are so many shows today showing unpleasant and inappropriate behavior to our children, even under the guise of Y7 rated shows. Most of the cartoons on Toon Disney, for instance, revolve around the hero of the show defeating bad guys, who almost universally do and say mean things to the hero or other innocent people. I dislike my children watching these shows, as they don’t need to be exposed to that kind of mean behavior influence. Yes, the hero always wins, but I’m not sure the kids always understand that almost everything the bad guy says is something that they should not say. On Dragon Tales, the themes usually include a problem that requires teamwork to solve, and always have a nice ending. I have never had problems with my kids emulating a bad behavior from that show.
